COVID-19 Protocols & Show Policies.

Since the start of the pandemic, IDS Vancouver has been closely following the advice of public health authorities. As an event, we will continue to abide to the latest guidance from local authorities, while making every effort to ensure your time at IDS Vancouver is both enjoyable and safe.

IMPORTANT: Please note that all restrictions and requirements are subject to change at any time to best protect the health and safety of all of its audiences in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances. These may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures, and entry requirements, such as mandatory mask wearing, proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, daily screening, contact tracing and any other protective measures. If any visitor, exhibitor, partner, sponsor, or staff do not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders/directives, show management may refuse admission to the event or require individual to leave the venue and with no refunds of entrance fees, booth fees, membership fees, parking fees, rental fees, or any other expenses/payments.



Health & Safety Guidelines.

The following Health and Safety Guidelines will continue to be in place at IDS Vancouver 2022:

Face Coverings: In line with the latest provincial guidance, mask wearing will not be required but is optional. Face masks are recommended where physical distancing may not be possible. We encourage everyone to take precautions based on their individual risk assessment and comfort level.  

Contactless Ticketing: We encourage everyone to pre-purchase tickets at idsvancouver.ca prior to attending the event. Upon entry, simply present your tickets on your mobile device. Alternatively, you may print out your digital ticket and present this at the door for scanning.  Trade Day Badges can be printed at home and presented at the door for entry.  

Self Assessment of Symptoms: If you are not feeling well and are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home. 

Enhanced Sanitization: The Vancouver Convention Centre has implemented a robust health and safety plan which includes frequent cleaning of all surfaces and hand sanitization stations throughout the facility. In addition, they have earned the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation – a third-party validation that their facility provides a clean, safe, and healthy environment and have rigorous protocols in place. 

Building Ventilation: The Vancouver Convention Centre is a past and current recipient of the National Air Filtration Association’s Clean Air Award. The Clean Air Award recognizes the use of high efficiency filtration products, good maintenance standards, and an outstanding effort to maintain a clean and healthy indoor environment. 


IDS Health & Safety Acknowledgement.

Please note that while IDS Vancouver continues to adhere to health and safety guidelines to keep you safe, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By being in public spaces like IDS Vancouver you voluntarily assume the risks related to exposure and agree that you will assume all responsibilities for any risk of bodily harm, disease, or loss of property sustained while attending this event and waives all right to lay claim for a refund or damages resulting from any cause whatsoever either before, during or after the event.

By entering the event, you also acknowledge, understand, and confirm each of the following in accordance with applicable health guidelines:

You and/or any Minor for which you serve as a Guardian will abide by all health-and-safety requirements outlined by IDS Vancouver on this page. 


Symptoms of COVID-19 include new or worsening: 

  • Fever or chills 
  • Cough 
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste 
  • Difficulty breathing 
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of appetite 
  • Runny nose 
  • Sneezing 
  • Extreme fatigue or tiredness 
  • Headache
  • Body aches 
  • Nausea or vomiting 
  • Diarrhea

Prior to attending IDS Vancouver, you and/or any Minor for which you serve as a Guardian are not under any self-isolation orders.

For purposes of this acknowledgement, a “Minor” means any individual who is under eighteen (18) years of age or has not reached the age of majority as defined by such individual’s jurisdiction of residence, and a “Guardian” means such Minor’s parent or legal guardian or other individual attending IDS Vancouver who is over the age of eighteen (18) and acting in loco parentis for such Minor.

Please do not enter IDS Vancouver or the Vancouver Convention Centre if you cannot confirm all of the above criteria. If at any point during your time at IDS Vancouver you do not meet all of the above criteria, you will be required to isolate and may be relocated or asked to leave at the sole discretion of Management. 


FAQs.

Will proof of vaccination or mandatory masking be required for admittance to the show?  

On April 8, 2022, the British Columbia government lifted proof of vaccination requirements. In line with the latest provincial guidance, proof of vaccination will not be required and mask wearing for staff, exhibitors, partners, sponsors and visitors attending IDS Vancouver will be optional. We encourage everyone to take precautions based on their individual risk assessment and comfort level. 

What is the attendee refund policy if I am unable to attend due to COVID-19?  

We will not be able to refund or transfer any ticket orders as all sales are final.  

I am a person with a disability and will be bringing a support person with me to the Show, how will my support person receive a complimentary pass when I buy my ticket online?  

Please purchase your ticket online. When you and your support person get to the show, please speak to a staff member and we will provide further assistance.


Show Policies.

These terms and conditions apply between the person, firm, company or other entity specified on your booking form ("you" or "your") and the Informa Group company that is the owner, organizer, operator and/or manager of the event/conference ("Informa"), for attendee / delegate registrations for the event specified on your booking form ("Event"). Please read them carefully as they contain important information. By submitting your registration to attend the Event, ("your registration") you agree to be bound by these terms to the exclusion of all other terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms, Informa will be unable to accept your registration.


Code of Conduct: 

We are dedicated to providing a safe place where all members of the industry are welcome to do business together. Safety, security and an open, inclusive, respectful environment with zero tolerance for violence, mistreatment, discrimination or harassment towards staff, exhibitors, guests, or attendees is of highest importance at our event. 


Health & Safety: 

The Event will be organized in accordance with official government and local authority guidelines, as well as venue regulations. We have collaborated with association partners and relevant authorities to develop AllSecure Standards that will raise the bar on safety, hygiene, and high-quality event experiences. You assume all responsibilities for any risk of bodily harm or loss of property sustained while attending this Event and waive all right to lay claim for damages resulting from any cause whatsoever either before, during or after the Event. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the Event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to the exposure to COVID-19 and agree that you will not hold Informa liable for any illness that may result. 


Data Privacy: 

The personal information which you provide to us will be held by us on a database and where we have appropriate authorization/justification (which may include, without limitation, express/implied consent or legitimate interests), may be shared with other companies in the Informa group and selected third parties in Canada, United States and internationally for promotional purposes.  Your personal information may also be shared with government entities and regulatory authorities as required by law.  Further, there may be certain areas of the Event at which your attendance is conditional on your personal information being provided to third parties which have sponsored or are managing such areas.  The use that any third parties make of your personal information is outside of Informa’s control and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept any liability in this regard. On choosing to allow your badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor, you are providing the exhibitor or sponsor with personal information and in doing so you agree to the exhibitor or sponsor contacting you in the future about their products or services. You understand that you can opt-out of this contact at any time by contacting the exhibitor or sponsor. Badges cannot be read remotely and must be scanned before any details are shared with exhibitors and sponsors. You understand that your badge may be scanned on entry/exit to the Event and used in relation to event safety/security and that the event organizer may use this information in aggregate form to analyze/improve the visitor experience. Scanning at entry/exit is not associated with third party marketing consent choices that you may make.


Data Scam Alert:

Please be aware of fraudulent offers to buy data lists. We do not sell or release data and have strict policies around the protection of data at Informa. These scammers do not have any relationship with the Event or Informa and they do NOT have the data they are attempting to sell. We continually work with our Show Management and legal team in sending the spammers cease and desist letters; however they are persistent and continue to send under different email addresses and different aliases. If you receive one of these emails, please BLOCK and MARK AS SPAM in your inbox, and forward it to spam@fightspam.gc.ca.


Limitation of Liability: 

To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, Informa excludes: (a) all liability for loss, injury or damage to persons or property at the Event; (b) all indemnities, warranties, representations (whether express or implied); and (c) any actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss, any loss of profits, anticipated profits, savings, loss of business revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any other type of economic loss, suffered by you howsoever arising. If Informa is liable to you for any reason, Informa's total liability to you in relation to the Event (whether under these terms or conditions or otherwise) is limited to the amount of your fees received by Informa.


Disclaimer for Activities:

You should consider carefully whether or not you will be able to participate in any activities offered as part of a program relating to the event.  Informa warns that some activities may be physically demanding and/or carry inherent dangers. You understand that some exercise-based activities may be a risk to your physical health and safety if you do not perform them correctly. You accept that, if a program exists for the event you are attending, it is entirely your responsibility to decide whether or not participation in any activity offered as part of the program is appropriate to your capabilities, aptitude, fitness and health. If you have any concerns about your capabilities, aptitude, fitness and/or health to participate you should consult with (and follow the recommendations of) a medical professional prior to engaging in any activity. If at any time during any activity you feel unwell or consider that it is unsafe for you to continue, please stop the activity immediately and seek appropriate advice. You also accept that it is entirely your responsibility to observe all health and safety requirements and instructions that you may be given in relation to activities. If you are participating in any activity that is offered virtually for participation in a home or office environment, you should ensure that your environment is safe, provides adequate space and is free of dangerous or hazardous objects and materials. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Informa and all entities within the Informa group (as well as any employees or other representatives of the same) excludes all liability for any loss, injury or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from your participation in any activities offered as part of the program (including, without limitation, any activities held outside of, or incidentally to, the main event that you are attending), whether direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss, injury or damage (including, without limitation, injury to persons, property damage, theft, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data or any other type of economic loss, injury or damage) or otherwise. The limitations and exclusions in this paragraph only apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.


Terms and Conditions of your eTicket: 

No exchanges or refunds. Treat your eTicket as you would cash. Your eTicket contains a unique bar code that will only be redeemed once at Art Toronto 2022 (the only exception is for Collector Passes). If for any reason a copy of this ticket was made, the first scanned eTicket to arrive at the event will be valid, while the second eTicket with the same ticket ID/bar code will be denied. Event staff will be able to verify the legitimate buyer by checking the credit card and/or photo ID. We recommend that all customers bring their credit card that was used to make this purchase to the event.

The management reserves the right to refuse the ticket.
