Micro-hood

Designed by SvN

Micro-hood, by SvN, is a prototypical neighbourhood concept and winning entry from Urbanarium’s affordable housing ideas competition, Decoding Density.

The concept is a visionary approach to neighborhood development for growing cities. The way we built yesterday needs a reset. Micro-hood proposes changes to building rules and community-oriented development and ownership models that would make affordable, sustainable, and resilient communities possible. The exhibit explores a day-in-the-life of the residents of Micro-hood.

Special Thanks to B Collective who offered their expertise in offsite construction to the Urbanarium submission.
