Perpetua Bar
Designed by STARK
The central bar at IDS Vancouver 2024 was designed by STARK, an award-winning architecture and interior design studio based in Squamish, BC.
The Perpetua Bar, made from re-usable materials, was designed to create an immersive space for gathering. Open on all sides and accessed from any angle, it seeks to bring people together, blurring the line between openness and enclosure.
The elevated curtain made from Pro Clima building membrane and provided by 475 High Performance Building Supply was visible from all areas of the show, making it a central meeting point. The undulating form glowed thanks to lighting design by ThinkL and LEDs donated by Diffusion Lighting.
The café/ bar at the centre made by Granger was accessed through a forest of wood posts fabricated by TAG Panels and structural design by Aspect Structural Engineers.
The structure was erected in a working day thanks to Kindred’s hard working team and innovative building methods.
Super comfy green sofas were designed and made by FFABB Home offering a great place to relax throughout the show.
