Aruna Dutt is the associate editor of the Globe and Mail’s Pursuits section, where she writes and helps oversee national lifestyle coverage. She is drawn to stories at the intersection of culture, science, food, design, travel or wellbeing and that consider environmental, ethical and socio-economic questions behind our day-to-day individual and societal behaviours, choices and policies. Aruna started at The Globe as an editor in the Arts and Books section in 2021 where she edited work that was nominated for a National Newspaper Award and a Digital Publishing Award. Previously, she was an associate producer at CBC Television and at CBC’s The Current, and a United Nations Correspondent for International Press Service in New York City. She has a master’s degree in journalism and communications and a bachelor’s degree in international development studies from Western University.
