Caroline BoquistCo-owner at WALRUS Design Inc.
Profile
Caroline brings over 20 years of experience in the sales and marketing of contemporary design. Her induction into the industry started at Inform Interiors where she found her footing in retail and a passion for design. Working direct with trade provided opportunities to engage with the design community and foster meaningful and enduring relationships. She brought this experience together nearly 15 years ago, when she co-founded award-winning design shop, WALRUS, with friend and business partner, Daniel Kozlowski.
WALRUS’ mandate is to provide an accessible, supportive space that celebrates both local and international design. Through WALRUS, she’s been able to collaborate and foster relationships not only amongst creatives, but the community at large. She sits on the Board for the Cambie Village BIA, has guest curated for the Chinese Garden, co-hosts Pecha Kucha Vancouver and provides mentorship through her cooperation with Emily Carr where she critiques student projects of the Industrial Design program. It is through Caroline’s genuine desire to bridge space between design and community that has assured her place within Vancouver’s design industry.
