Matthew McCormick Studio is an award winning, multi-disciplinary design studio based in Vancouver, Canada that offers an eponymous lighting collection and fully bespoke, artistic installations distributed worldwide.

Founded in 2013 by Matthew McCormick, the studio designs, manufactures and retails McCormick’s pieces which have garnered international acclaim through a number of notable awards and media including ELLE Décor, Architectural Digest, Harper’s Bazaar and many more. Over the last number of years, his work has also been featured at some of the world’s most prestigious design events including Milan Design Week and Dubai Design Week, as well as featured at Rossana Orlandi Gallery (Italy) and the V&A Museum (London).

McCormick’s passion for design was fueled through his education and career leadership in art direction, where he was afforded the opportunity to assert and pitch his creative visions early on. However, with a long-standing obsession for lighting, he was granted the opportunity to marry his knowledge in design with light – thus catapulting into the global design scene where he is able to showcase his talents today.

Most notably recognized for his bespoke, design-art creations and his fine-tuned attention to detail, McCormick’s products are inspired by his signature graphic language and the beauty in their timeless simplicity. Balancing handcrafted processes with modern techniques, his aesthetic is a constant pursuit of excellence in minimalism, on a relentless journey to distill design ideas into their simplest form. His products boast technical precision hidden by clean lines, created in collaboration with a network of talented artisans and craftspeople.
