Yehia Madkour

Director of Innovation, Principal at Perkins&Will

Born in Cairo and based in Vancouver, Yehia is an architect and change maker, with expertise at the intersection of design, technology, and research. Yehia is the Director of Innovation at Perkins&Will, where he co-directs five research labs to advance 25 international design studios in the areas of Human Experience, Research Circularity, Performance Optimization, Construction Innovation, and Physical-Digital Experiences.

More locally and prior to his current role, Yehia led the design of the Nemesis Coffee House in Vancouver which won the 2020 BC Wood Innovation Award, and more recently he was a recipient of the 2021 Building Design + Construction 40 Under 40 award.
