Krisette, an award-winning industrial designer, is passionate about crafting beautiful and sustainable furniture. Raised in a resourceful small town in the Philippines, Krisette learned the value of improvisation in a place where products were often expensive or scarce. The environment fostered creativity and imagination, leading to the crafting of childhood toys from discarded materials. Krisette holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from OCADU and an Economics Degree from the Philippines, with eight years of experience in financial services. This dual background informs her approach to design, incorporating economic considerations like financial sustainability and scalability. Krisette's education at OCADU emphasized the transformative power of good design on human experiences across communities. With a diverse skill set and a creative process, Krisette is committed to using industrial design as a tool for meaningful societal changes, driven by a unique blend of economics and design expertise.
